TRICKS FOR CAPTURING NEWSWORTHY IMAGES 1) Authories sometimes get frustrated and think that you are trying to ridiculise them. ( Show respect for them and tell them that you are not trying to make them look bad ). 2) Never create a situation to capture events that were not supposed to happen ( its a very bad idea ). 3) Try to ignore what people think and focus on the event while being polite and respectful ( watch your back ). 4) Focus on the subject and get as close as possible without interfering. 5) Briefly focus out of the subject and also capture the authority intervention arrival on the scene. 6) Always carry footage capture equipment with you when riding downtown congested cities, Inline skates, skateboards, longboards and bicylcles will get you through traffic before authority intervention and will get you out of dangerous situations in record time. 7) Being in shape and healthy will make you alert and confident in intense situations. 8) Try to be cool and friendly while asking questions about the event. 9) Always be alert for newsworthy footage and dont be scared or shy to power up your cameras. 10) Give a dummy cassette if someone want to take your footage.
FILMING TECHNIQUES USING A VIDEO CELLPHONE 1) Always configure your VCP so that you have instant access to the video functions 2) Make shure that your lense is clean and has no obstruction. 3) Always hold your Video Cell Phone ( VCP ) using your 2 hands and move slowly using your body so that your VCP processor has time to capture all the frames and elimate shaking. 4) Never hold your VCP in one hand and wave. 5) Try not to film sideways and get as close as possible. 6) Try to find the best angle and lighting condition. 7) Practise yor filming and try to obtain finesse before you actually start your hunt.
